I Will Win!

Several years back I heard this from one of my mentors.  It has been mantra if you will ever since.  I share this with you in the hopes that it will inspire you as it has done for me!






The die has been cast. I’ve stepped over the line.

The decision has been done, the destiny’s been determined.
I will no longer vacillate. I will no longer vacate.
I will no longer listen to, listen at or listen in on losing.

I will not be defeated, dejected, diluted or detoured.
I will no longer navigate with the needle of negativity.
The direction’s been decided, the trail to be tried.
The destiny directed, the future forged.

I will not be pulled on, pulled in, pulled down or pulled out.
I won’t back up, back down or back away or back off.
I won’t give in, give out or even give way to defeat.
I no longer will meander in the maze of mediocrity.
I will no longer conform to the cancer of CAN’T.
I now will confirm the condition of CAN.

I will probe the possibilities, pick the probabilities.
I will focus on the fire and heat it even hotter.
I will never give up, let up, set up or shut up on success.
I am reaching for the ring, pulling on the power.

I’ve quit wishing, hoping, wasting, and whining.
I now will aggressively gear into the word GO. …and I am determined to
dare to do till I drop.
I will withstand the whining winds of defeat.
And I will be powerfully persistent, consistent, and insistent to get out of life
what I truly deserve.

Because I am willing. I am ready and I am worthy. …and I understand the
only defeat is from within.

I now know that beyond any shadow of the cloud of doubt, there is no
shadow, there is no cloud, and there is no doubt… I WILL WIN!

How bad do you want it?


The video above is one of my all time favorites. In all my years of business the thing that it always has come down to for determining someones success has always been ONE simple thing.

No its not listing your goals or who just went through the numbers. Its never been just about the product or the company or the team. The one thing that it seems to always come down to is “how bad do you want it”.

At the end of the day are you pursuing something because of what you want it to do for you or are you doing something because you “gotta”. For those of you who don’t quite understand “gotta”. Let me paint a picture….

Some people go to work everyday because they need to pay bills and they like the house and neighborhood they live in. Some people “gotta” work because they are trying to pay for the medicine their ill spouse needs to survive. Some people start a home based business because they would like to change their life while other people “gotta” make their home based business work because they can’t spend another day in corporate America, or they can’t stand the thought of missing another kids b-day at work or they don’t want to lose the love of their life because they are stuck working the hours their boss has dictated.

See when you are working on something and your attitude isn’t non-negotiable, meaning you’ve already thought about what else you can do in case this venture doesn’t work out to me that means that you are not completely committed to your own cause. To me you are merely INVOLVED. See there is a HUGE difference between being committed and being involved, just ask the chicken who is INVOLVED in bringing eggs  for breakfast vs the PIG who has made a much larger committment in supplying the bacon.

When you commit, I mean really commit, to your goals and dreams to the point when you need it two work like you need oxygen to breathe then, and only then you will see the massive breakthrough in your business that you’ve been working for.

So today, take a look at yourself…..turn your shoulds into musts…..your wants into NEEDS…..turn your “like to’s” into “GOTTAs” and claim the life that you deserve.

10 New Years Resolutions Musts

New Year Resolutions to help you rock your home based businessNew year, means an opportunity to have a fresh start.  Here are some resolutions to help you have an unforgettable year!



1) Ignore the chatter or use it to fuel you – Don’t let your haters derail your beliefs.  Either they are going to be right or you are.

2) Set goals – You can’t hit something  if you don’t know what you are aiming at.  Goals with deadlines will help you switch from being busy to being productive.

3) Get a game plan – The old addage, “if you fail to plan, then you plan to fail” is as true as it gets.  Put a game plan on HOW you can achieve your goals.

4) Get organized –  DMO – Daily Method of Operations.  You need one…figure it out and stick to it!

5) Start feeding your brain – You become what you feed yourself.  Motivation, ideas and focus can all be cultivated and nurtured by what you listen to, read and watch.  Dedicate at least 30 minutes a day to this activity and watch your results grow exponentially.

6) Learn some new skills – Face it everything you know has you where you are today.  To do, be and have more you are going to have to pick up some new skill sets.  Communication, time management, leadership are soft skills we can all get better at. Marketing, Sales and Lead Generation are a must for anyone responsible for a business.

7) Be more patient, be more persistent – Begin with the end in mind.  Remember that you are going to have good days and bad days in your business just like you do in your relationships, you finances and your spirituality.  Don’t freak out when it happens in your business too.  When you have tough day and you contemplate taking your foot off the gas, remember “WHY” you got started to being with.  Anything that is significant takes time to build.

8) Get committed – To advance your business to the next level you are going to have an increased commitment level.  This commitment level will mean your life will be out of balance for a season.  Save yourself a headache and share this in advance with the people you care about.  You will need their support to see it through.

9) Listen more – Don’t just listen more, listen with empathy.  Too many time people want to impose their thought process on other people.  To understand the people you will need to be successful ( partners, customers or investors) you will need to get great at listening to what they need.   Ask yourself this, how can you really provide a solution if you don’t take the time to hear the problem from their perspective.

10) Be more fit – Walk more, eat better, lift weights!  My mom said this to me this past weekend.  “What’s the point of securing a future if you arent’ going to be around to enjoy it”  Take it a step farther.  You are going to be in a fight…a fight for you freedom and you will need to be physically ready if you want to win.

Increasing your warm market list

Warm-Market-ListIncreasing your warm market list is essential to building stability in a network marketing business. While building a distributor base can be done many ways, building a stable base of customers will usually come from your warm market.

Who is this warm market? Well outside of the obvious of friends and family. I think there are two other warm markets that are often neglected. The first being casual acquaintances and people you already do business with.

If you have a business, product, or service that you are excited about why would you not share it with people you currently do business on a regular basis. You have been going to the same cleaners, beautician, insurance agent, baby-sitter for years. If you were to go down the yellow pages you could probably identify someone you know in each of the categories listed. Supporting them in their business often because of a referral someone else gave you as a reason for patronizing them. Guess what, time to allow them to return the favor.

Don’t feel bad about asking for their business because after all if you can do business with them, why can’t they do business with you? Think about it.

Warm Market vs Cold Market : Should I stay warm?

Yesterday a network marketing colleague of mine asked me if warm or cold marketing was better? Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a firm believer in the warm market. I believe it makes for the most duplicable system in the industry. That being said there are a couple of assumptions there.


1) The person has a list of contacts.
2) If they don’t someone can show them how to grow their list.
3) A coach to show them what to do with their warm market.
4) A system that fits

Of these 4 things I believe the size of the persons contact list and ability to add to it will determine if a person can survive in the industry with warm marketing.

If a person comes and they only have a list of 10 people, they are at a huge disadvantage to the person who comes with a list of at least 100 people. Here’s why.

Person A calls 5 people on his list. All 5 tell him no to both the opportunity and to the products or services. Person A has now gone through HALF…..50% of his list. Holy cow, this guy is already about 5 phone calls from being out of the business! Worse his odds have dropped more because the scarcity mentality has probably set in for this prospect because he knows he is almost out of people to call. Hard to have success when you are dealing with a high level of self doubt.

Person B calls 5 people, but has a list of 100. No sweat when he is told “no” on the opportunity or products. Why because he is operating from a position of abundance. Knowing he still has 95% percent of his list still in tact he can operate in confidence knowing there is at least one business partner somewhere on the list.

See the difference?

Don’t Quit!

Dont Quit

When you want to give up just remember the ones who want to see you fail!

We all have day’s when it seems easier to quit than to go on. This little poem below is one that I’ve used over and over to carry me through many situations in my life. Hope it can do the same for you.


When things go wrong, as they sometimes will,

When the funds are low and the debts are high,
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,

Rest, if you must, but don’t you quit.

Top Reasons for getting a domain name and 6 things to consider when picking

I’m amazed at how many people that do business online that STILL do not have their own domain name. If you are promoting a replicated site provided by your company or affiliate program you could be losing tons of traffic by people who are simply “getting lost” trying to find your website.

Think about this, someone has just asked you for the website of your online store and now you have to give them something like http://www.globalinx.com/?bNew=True&strRIN=L252765 or how about http://www.globalinxco.com/ or http://www.mikerandonline.com/ . Which would be easier for you to remember, more importantly which would be easier for your clients to remember?

Another great thing having a domain name does is it protects you from people who aren’t as good at using the internet. Imagine how many times people end up on the wrong webpage because they have typed the web address in the “search” window instead of the “address bar”.
Those are a few things to consider for those of you promoting companies with replicated sites or affiliate programs. Here are 3 more good reasons.

1) You get to brand “You Inc”
2) Makes it easier for your customers to find your website
3) Makes it easier for your customers to remember your website for return visits

  • Some popular sites for domain name registration for under $10 are GoDaddy.com and Yahoo Small business. Both have their perks but I’ve recently found myself getting most of my domain names from GoDaddy.com, due to ease of use and simpler add-ons.

Six other points to consider when choosing your domain name.


  • Use a bunch of numbers in your domain name, especially if they won’t mean anything to anyone other than you. (ie: Rep ID Numbers)

  • Use a name that is hard to spell or that phonetically might not be easy to type.
  • Use a name that is copyrighted. It probably won’t be worth the headache if they sick their high-priced fancy lawyers on you.

  • Make sure your domain name is one that people will associate with you or whatever you are marketing.

  • Think about securing .com, .net and .info. The more you can secure your brand name the better.

  • Avoid getting a .net if someone else already has the .com. In some cases this may work in your favor, but in most you will simply lose good traffic to someone whose name is just going to be more easily remembered because most people think of .com first.

Finally, buying your first domain name may seem like a really big deal, but it doesn’t have to be. Remember they are cheap and you should not be paying more than $10 for one year for only a domain name. So buy many, buy often get one for each of your products if you want, get one for each of your companies and certainly don’t be afraid to get one to start branding you.
